Or two, rather.
Found this in a sale bin and just couldn't leave it behind, but it's a bit
of a mystery special, double CD which comes in a nice cardboard
slip-cover.
Seems to come from Mexico, on the WEA label, dated 1999 and it's
titled Reves by Yosoy. Or maybe it's called Cafe' Tacuba. And
maybe I've got the title and artist back to front.
Disc one is fairly straight Spanish vocal interesting pleasant
indie/alt/pop-rock flavoured exotica (if you will) and disc two is
slightly out_there electronic/leftfield remixes of the same. The
accompanying artwork is quite astounding, with big colour fold-out
trippy organic pix (reminiscent of FSOL's videos).
Disc 1 registers 52 tracks (bit like Farmers Manual!) of which 13-25
flow smoothly as one, although indexed in +-18 sec segments and
again tracks 26-52 do the same, but in 07 sec. increments... :-)
Anybody seen / heard this who knows a bit more about what's
behind it?
WARNING : guitars.
