Wahey! Anyone who's got 'Spatula Freak' by Kid Spatula - is it any good compared with the rest of paradinas' stuff? It is amazingly scarce (if it exists at all - I've certainly never seen it) over here and I'm wondering how much trouble it's worth going to... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

spat. freak, imho, isn't as good as stuff of a similar age, but its still pretty funky. not in a p-funk way, mind you, but in a "mike paradinas is a crazy nerd" kinda whiteboy way. i've seen (i think) 2 versions of it. one with a (surprise surprise) >>reflective<< cover (its on jonah sharp's reflective label) and one with a green(?) cover. worth picking up. word. np: screeching weasel-television city dream

I personally think it's not his best...from the same period you're much better off with something like In Pine Effect. I rate Spatula freak as one of the lesser offerings from mr. paradinas, only Das ist ein groovy beat ja... and the Gary Mosceles album are worse, again imho ;)
