i wish i had the ability to articulate all the things i could say about this issue. i havent been following this list for quite some time, but some friends forwarded me some of the recent dialogues. and i dont mean to continue the thread any longer, i just want to mumble a quick word or two. let me preface with my apologies for all those who arent interested in this particular topic, hopefully you will ignore this additional thread. i cannot imagine how annoying it would be if i wasnt directly involved.
let me simply say, much respect to the milkalive/cex/606/tigerbeat6 crew. i certainly understand their resentment towards me, and in some ways i feel it is quite justified. aside from that, i think the whole thing is a bit old really, and its understable if they want to continue this dialogue. in a change of pace, i must say that medicine's "the buried life" has been on constant playlist recently here at my new apartment. some of my favorite music right now. nevertheless, i wish them the best of luck and i hope that they are/become the essential producers to help people take computer based music from america a bit more seriously.
in regards to the embarassing lack of lexaunculpt releases, i must say that i do not pressure myself to write music all the time, but only when it feels right. and i have realized from my releases, which i dont particularly enjoy, that its more important to release music that i "should" release and not that i "could" release. nevertheless, there is a bulk of new lexaunculpt material that will be coming out shortly, and it is light years beyond anything i have ever done. im looking forward to seeing people's reactions as it is nothing like i have ever made before.
some american artists i feel are going to changing perspectives:
scott delarosa
low res (crank)
otto (?)
richard coleman devine
thanks so much.
peace.
