first U.S. appearance?
it's >>>ON. tickets at the door.
From July 13th Seattle Weekly:
"S Q U A R E P U S H E R , earthtribe, samo, manalive, dj diskyze- Feed Me Weird Things, the artist formerly known as Tom Jenkenson's first album was titled, and he's been doing just that for his rabid fan-base ever since: He's the godfather (along with Aphex Twin) of "drill-and-bass," the hyperkinetic-bordering-on-retarded piss-take on jungle's breakbeat science. But squarepusher also took plenty of cues than most from early 70's electric jazz, a love that bore strage fruit with 1998's Music Is One Rotted Note, which found him abandoning spastic breaks and spazzy bass for more considered-- if just as strange --sonic environs. Expect further extensions of the same ideas at this appearance."

"Houston welcomes the first U.S. exhibition of Amsterdam-based
graffiti artist DELTA, entitled "New Constructions." with DJ Z-TRIP on the turntables. Boris Tellegen, aka DELTA, studied Industrial Design Engineering, and emerged with a unique painting style: his abstract lettering resembles isometric plans for high-tech vehicles or architecture from the future. In 1998, "Masterplan" was a collaboration with architect Marc Mauer for a large-scale architectural competition called 'Het-Wilde-Wonen' (Wild Living). DELTA's work was recently published in the 1999 book Scrawl by Booth-Clibborn Editions, he designed the album cover for DJ Vadim's USSR: Life from the Other Side, and designed packaging for Japanese magazine Gasbook, issue 7. Exhibition runs through August 29"
