short bit of praise_
phthalocyanine: 25 tracks fer 1 track (planet mu)
i have been following the music of this kid for quite sometime and am
nothing but IMPRESSED with this release. it, as with the rest of the
phthalocyanine material is INSANELY disjointed and disfunctional sounding
...at least on the first listen. each listen so far has made this release
sound more coherent, more structured. the sounds here are so primal and
raw... not quite the same sterile cold (or even "warm") feeling that much
of rhythmic and beat focussed electronic music brings about - this just
sounds like robots drumming on eachother out of desperation or something..
which could be good or bad, depending on your taste in such things :) i
happen to love it!
