I spy...
a great new record: Joachim Spieth , Fluchtpunkt (Oni.Tor, distro'd by
Kompakt).
Spieth is known for a previous 12" on Kompakt (not sure of anything else),
and he's true to form here with 8 tracks of amazing, lush-yet-whittled-down
techno-house. Fuck it, it's just house music. There's a blush of disco, a
flush of funk, a hint of soul... Oh baby but is it groovy.
(My only complaint - it's an 8-track single LP, and I think the pressing
suffers for it... wish it were a doublepack.)
For the person who complained about the vocals on Marcus Nicolai's album,
this might be more up yr alley - same sort of production, if a bit more
Kompakt than Perlon in flavor - but no vocal treatments at all.
Everybody repeat after me: "Long live microhouse!"
