actually a long ago i bought a cd called The Curse of the Golden Vampire and it's a project of alec empire and godflesh's justin broadrick, with some other guy i forgot his name. that album is fucking amazing, rather than agressive. an 'intelligent' track by alec empire appears in the Thurstone Moore, Root album, track 002 i believe. listen to that track and maybe you'll think alec was fucking around about being a rock star. ey... that mogwai remix is just as good too. oh well.. whatever it takes to be an 'idm' exponent? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Well what about his Limited Editions LP (90-94) on Mille Plateaux...from memory alot of it sounds like early afx..Not too harsh, and alot of melody. later jk --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Curse of the Golden Vampire is Alec, Justin from Godflesh and Kevin Martin who is also in another band with Justin called God. The Golden Vampire I think was just a one-off project from the three guys who also record together as Techno Animal. None of it is idm, though. The TA stuff is dark, hard dub whereas the Golden Vampire album is all mid-tempo, aggressive industrial type stuff
