Hey Just to let you know of a link to an adjustable text to speech synth (in 4 languages) which you can save to wav. Just copy and paste into it! It's kinda cool coz you could load the results into a sampler and maybe use it in a tune. It's at: http://www.lucent.com/speech/welcome.html --- ================SYMPLEX HEDRON================== =======purveyor of fine eklektronik beats======= ================================================ @ @ ^ \_/ ================================================ Angelfire for your free web-based e-mail. http://www.angelfire.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Simple Text for the Macintosh has been able to speak English for the last five years. There are a bunch of great voices available with the newer OS versions. Victoria and Bruce have a high quality setting that almost sounds like a real human. I think that you could get it to speak in other languages by getting international OS patches. -Lee ----- Original Message ----- From: Karl-Michael Schneider <schneide@phil.uni-passau.de> To: <dave.finlay@angelfire.com> Cc: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Friday, June 30, 2000 12:33 PM Subject: [idm] Re: Text to speech synthesis

SayIt is available from AnalogX (http://www.analogx.com) along with such shining stars as Scratch, DelayCalc and AudioArpeg. Best thing is, you can download SayIt and use it offline. G-love.
