hey IDMers, this is just a quick note to tell you about an IDM
mix of mine that's to be broadcasted a couple of times today on
radiovalve.com. with 18 tracks by the likes of andrea parker,
mouse on mars, and lowfish, clocking in at over 70 minutes, it's
not one to miss. i call the mix "hi-tech", but on
radiovalve.com it leads off a 3-hour program called "master
control." the other DJs in the program are mark farina (house)
and DJ dean (epic trance). anyway, if you tune in at 11:13 or
19:22 mountain time, you'll hear my mix. you can also visit
radiovalve.com's site and use their handy schedule time
localizer if you're in a different time zone.
here's what radiovalve says about my portion of the program:
"set one is delivered by midwest DJ phase, delivering a
downtempo mix of IDM, electro and experimental with deliciously
intelligent twists." i wouldn't exactly call it downtempo; i
think what they mean is that, unlike a lot of the mixes they
broadcast, this one is aimed away from the dancefloor. it's
about 6 months old now (and even when it was new it included
some ancient tracks) but i think you'll like it. you can view
the artwork with complete tracklisting at:

compliments and criticisms are gladly accepted...

i want to thank david fodel, brian kane, and the rest of the
radiovalve crew for the service they provide, and for finding
airtime for this "deliciously intelligent" music we all love so
much. also, shouts to wally @ hyperreal, without whom my mix
would have never gotten into radiovalve's hands, and fellow
listmember al @ booyaka, for the rad artwork. you guys are too
kewl.
