I happened to find a copy of the Avrocar for $7 today, the day after I
was going through anxiety over ordering it online for $15. Made my day -
BTW somebody should tell schematic/suction/etc. that this one store gets
most of their promos wholesale from somebody in the boston community.. but
that would mean I wouldn't get crazy deals on new music now, wouldn't it?

It's reminds me of like Labraford/Kranky label releases. (I'm not familiar
with this "spaceman 3" anyhow) I'm surprised the Thrill Jockey/Kranky
kids aren't all over this, but then again, Indy rock is all about the
street creds. (Obscure, but more "obscure-but-popular-with-my-friends")

I don't know.. it's pretty synth-y, and the "IDM" label has always been
shady. But I agree with you. More typified IDM would be the Magnetophone
"temporary lid" EP. I haven't listened to much other material by
Magnetophone, but this is damn nice. I'm tempted (against my best
interests) to order some import 7"ches from them and avrocar..
