I've been Promo'ed with a copy of Beth Hirsch's "early days" album on !K7 and was told she's the vocalist that Air use. Does anybody know about her? Is she related to 4AD's Kirten Hirsch? Very much in the singer-songwriter tradition rather than the Alanis female raaawk-staa mould, pleasantly plinks along without annoying the neighbours. But most certainly not IDM by any stretch. Beth Hirsch definitely isn't related to Throwing Muses leader Kristin Hersh (proper spelling). Don't know much about Ms. Hirsch except that she sang with Air and is about to release a pretty bland debut album. But it could be as big as the last Beth Orton LP, for whatever that's worth.
