With it's upcoming European release date (June 26th), this has been getting a lot of press lately. Excuse me if this has been pointed out, but I just learned that the whole lp consists solely of samples. If you own it you know exactly how incredibly tedious this must have been, and how absolutely clean it is. The article in groove magazine (www.groove.de) on Uwe Schmidt discusses the impact of this means of production. Although sampling is certainly nothing new, the technology used and origin of the tracks resulting in "future folk" music is quite extraordinary... anyhow this email can only get redundant of the japanese release date and posts that followed, so if you have access to groove check out the article, otherwise i believe an english version should be up on their website sometimes soon. cheers susan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
