You can always check out artists like Merzbow (the king of noise, really) or anything on Vinyl Communications for that matter... Also check out sites like http://i.am/hotf and http://www.c8.com for some good stuff... The mail order from History of the futurE (hotf) is amazing. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@cyrus.net http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly [CELL|(888)522.3830] | [CELL|(701)729.1631] | [HOME|(612)676.1817] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

My favorites: Farmer's Manual--Explorers We (ambient noise) Twisted Science--The Sharpest Tool in the Box (harsh and fascinating) Pan(a)sonic--Kulma (minimal techno noise) Pan(a)sonic--A (minimal techno noise) Mika Vainio--Onko (ambient noise) -- shephrd@earthlink.net | "...thita NK;" "...mechanically reclaimed by autechre..." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You can actually get a ton of really good noise on mp3.com. Noise is not that difficult, but each artist that does it has some new style, so don't waste a bunch of money on a few CDs, go download 3 years of mp3s for nothin'. I have a rather large noise collection, but ever since mp3.com, I haven't been buying much new pure-noise lately. http://genres.mp3.com/music/electronic/experimental/noise/?tp Please listen to my noise stuffs too! I like them a lot. CPI - Extreme Noise at http://www.mp3.com/cpi/ DXM - Experimental Ambient at http://www.mp3s.com/dxm1/ "Wouldn't you say, Pooh?" / "Say what?" asked Pooh, opening his eyes. / "Music and Living-" / "The same thing," said Pooh. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
