In any event, I seen this gigantic discog..of the guy who does the Living Room disguise, however....low on cash and would rather no music than shit music(quality over quantity)......is his other disguises similar to this one.....anyone have a clue? O-is T! -----Original Message----- From: Irene McC [mailto:substar@iafrica.com] Sent: Thursday, June 15, 2000 2:54 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Cc: franz.enmark@sandbergtrygg.se Subject: [idm] pillow talk Got to hand it to those Northern people: maybe it's the cold climate or something they put in the water - Thanks to Franz, I just received a copy of Swedish duo Plod's "Pillow Talk" album on Worm Interface, and must add my "huge props" to the already glowing compendium of reviews. It opens with Markkinal, which was included on last year's Alt.Freq.3 as well as Plod's O'Boy EP. This material carries on from there and while it has vaguely D&B tendencies and underlying rhythms, there are beautiful floaty melodies hung over the top, that manage to transport me quite beautifully. Weird names, though !!! Let's just say that my favourite, #8, has a title that totally belies its etherial qualities... "That stench again? It must be Wednesday" is the rather prosaic moniker it is obliged to go by. Oh dear. Maybe they didn't run their original Swedish ideas through the Ernesto Ikerd translation device registered to IDM! While this is probably not new, new anymore, anyone who hasn't heard it yet : do your ears a favour and geddit.
