Has anyone listened to the special "reflective" version of Depth Charge's Lust? I saw it at the shop today but didn't have the guts to buy it when I have the original. Also, could anyone reccomend some records for me to take a look at if I like the J Saul Kane/Depth Charge style? I'm trying to compile a list before I spend more cash at the record shop. Thanks alot! Is there a version of "Lust" that's *not* reflective? That's the only version I've seen at every store I've been to. There's "Lust2", which is red.. but that's a separate release altogether. If there are two versions, artwise, of "Lust", I'm guessing they'd be the same, musicwise.

SKYE! SKYE! SKYE! Ok, Dj Skye is not a whole lot like Depth Charge, but he/she/it does have a couple of 12"'s on DC records... "Skye Files Vol 2" and "Skye Files Vol 3"..("Sky Files Vol. 1" is a split with The Ted Howler Rhythm Combo on Pure Plastic records)... If you like raw, northern soul, style breakbeats taped together, you'll really Skye's stuff. Skye also has a great track on the "DeepCon: Deep Concentration 3" comp on OM records. Speaking of an even better recommendation, I think Depth Charge fans will find a lot of stuff to chew on all three "Deep Concentration" comps on OM, if you guys have never checked them out. The latest one, mentioned above, is the best one so far. More hits than misses here... and I can't say the same for the first two, even though they have a pretty good ratio than other comps anyway. ======================================================================= Brian MacDonald <brianm@kuci.org> KUCI 88.9 fM in Irvine, CA -- Orange County ======================================================================= --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
