I've listened to some of the IDM that gets a lot of discussion time on this list, but it all sounds fairly similar to me. I appreciate the originiality of Kid 606, but I'm not really into that sound. So much IDM just sounds like eras of Autechre or Aphex to me. Even Blackdog sounds like primordial Autechre. I don't mean to offend or start a flame war, this is purely my opinion, and I don't have any kind of sharply trained IDM ear. I'm looking for suggestions of IDM that sounds completely different from what most people are doing.
