Hullo IDMites, I inadvertently deleted the original post about the rhythm change on "Recrudescent Rime" from Hamijama's "Cultivar", but yes, it flips over (I had to listen to it as I didn't remember). Interesting. I also finally received my copy of Beta Bodega Coalition's "2K", very, very nice, though I still think that "B2" is the best Beta Bodega yet. Opinion poll: should I get the "Psychological Operations in Guerilla Warfare" compilation on Rice & Beans? And once again, this got me thinking about the time signature of Bola's "Triangle Cake" (on "KS", SKAM KMAS002 7"). I've tried to count it from ever since I got it, but it just eludes me. It is danceable as 4/4 but totally unmixable because as far as my musical training takes me, I think that when the rhythm flips one 16th gets dropped off. I could be wrong, of course. But the track itself is probably one of the best Bola tracks ever. If someone has been able to count the time signature, do come forward.
