Starting TONIGHT, cutting-edge new electronic music comes to Montreal with the first edition of Mutek.
Be a part of it through the CBC's live webcasts.
All five evenings will be streamed live on the websites of CBC Radio's Brave New Waves (
http://www.radio.cbc.ca/programs/bnw) and Radio Canada's Le Navire Night (
http://www.radio-canada.ca/radio/navire).
An exploration of music, sound creation and new technologies, MUTEK's program features 30 artists from Germany, the U.S, Finland, Greece, and Canada. It is a unique opportunity to investigate the newest trends in electronic music. The response so far demonstrates that MUTEK will quickly become an important, not-to-be missed event.
The first two evenings, June 7 and 8, will be held in the Fellini theatre at Ex-Centris, the ideal location to appreciate the sounds and images of these creators, with excellent acoustic and technical quality. The last three evenings, from June 9 to 11, will be held at Café Campus.
