I picked up a great 'tool' plate the other day. It has a bunch of quite
interesting tracks on it, some minimal crunchy beats devoid of much
melody, as well as a couple of nice cut up vocal tracks. One of them
sounding a bit as though someone had pressed the forward button while
playing a James Brown CD, but still with some obvious intervention and
later processing. It works. In any case the nine or ten interspersed
tracks are separated by a slew of locked grooves, which means you can't
play the record through, but gosh, it's a lot of fun to play with. In a
clear sleeve on Deluxe Records out of Berkeley CA, I believe it's called
disc transfer....just checked out there site, it's actually KID 606,
Lesser, and Matmos, surprise surprise. Anyway, great record; dlx06 LP
