Irene, cant say that I know what happened to him but yes, the Moving Through Here LP has its moments.....I am still very fond of Placid Angels, and 10 Days of Blue tho....... His Indio release on Transmat last year was not bad......9 tracks of mid to downtempo techno.....actually it grows on you over time......I would say its worth having if you have the loot..... Speaking of Transmat, does anyone know where the name Time:Space----Transmat----came from? Its a good question, which cant be classified as trivia, for those Techno gurus on the list.......ANYONE, give it a shot....(U 2 Lance, Duke, and others I dont see) And Mr. Salls, I am not accepting your answer......ha ha ha ha Or-Si! -----Original Message----- From: Irene McC To: idm@hyperreal.org Cc: khackett@aba.iupui.edu Sent: 5/17/00 2:49 AM Subject: john beltran Whatever happened to John Beltran? Im sitting here listening to his '97 Apollo/R&S album Moving Through Here (Kelley! check it out - think you'll like this) and was wondering whether he's put out anything recently. The answer I 'seem' to remember is in Dan Sicko's 'Techno Rebels', but I don't have my copy to hand so I cant check if I am making it up or not :) - -- dan@madvision.co.uk www.madvision.co.uk [PGP signature removed] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Isn't that from an old Cybotron track? Or was it Model 500? An OLD Juan Attkins track anyway! Yeah, it was Model 500, definitely post-Cybotron -- Night Drive (Time, Space, Transmat) -- from around 1986 or 1987. .John. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
