Has anyone heard this yet? I've got it ordered, and am really looking forward to it... just itching for some clues on what it might be like. I loved the Marumari MP3s I heard. I love stumbling across music that I can enjoy without reservation. There really seems to be nothing I would fault in any of the tracks I listened to. Yes i have had this one since last week and have been enjoying it quite a bit. Here is the info on it: . Marumari: Ballad of the Round Ball cd/lp (Carpark 02) - Tracks: circles, five14b, saturday, six4a, 4eleven, eight7, seeya, ten7x-a, first one, and boss. The sound of Ballad of a Round Ball, as well as all of Marumari's music, is a nice melodic dubby analog Mouse on Mars meets Isan type sound combining quirky playful structures with simple yet elegant melodies. My only complaint about Ballad of a Round Ball is that it's only 40 minutes long and since the whole cd flows so nicely, it seems it's over all too quickly. Ballad of the Round Ball is the second Marumari cd i have. The first is called Story of the Heavens on the Cunsanto label. Marumari also has tracks on several comps including Lucky Kitchen's Blip, Bleep (Soundtracks to Imaginary Videogames), Mad Monkey's Enter the Monkey, the new Kid606 & Friends remix comp, and the recent Mindfield/Faqt Ricci's Pieces tribute release. As you may have guessed by now, I've been quite happy with everything I've heard from Marumari so far. Supposedly there will be a new Marumari album in early 2000 on Carpark called "In the Year 3000, Marumari Arrived..." so we have even more to look fwd to. Two Marumari websites to check out are listed below. The first is the official website with some entertaining shockwave/fash features. The second is good for some Marumari mp3s: http://members.aol.com/marumari/main.html http://www.ellmstrees.com/marumari.html And if you want to get Marumari's first cd, here is the website for the UK label it was on - Cunsanto: http://members.aol.com/cunsanto/index.htm -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
