On_SquarePusherQualityControl: Idont dj,I dont know the name of all warp albums. But I like to consider music as an artform. Ive created digital images for a few years, and still find new possibilities to use and abuse that medium. i can tell Sp is into the same vibe musically. I got hooked on square pusher listening to music is rotted, especially the shin triad track.. siick! And i listen to version sixteen with the same intrest. I consider his full body of work as a intresting development. But if u expect to get that "squrepusher" sound on each album, youre listening to the wrong artist. This guy is always going to be outside. Even if he is doing "electronica" -he`ll be outside of that. If I consider his work as art.. that?s how i?ll aproach it. A lot of music played in clubs are very innovative. But just because somebodys dancing to it seems to mean u cant see it as an art.. And the musicians themselves helps to maintain this attitude by creating incestual standards. "-Oh no thats not drum`nbass enough to be good." Ive seen this attitude in all artistic enviroments ive experienced, and im sure ive at some point been guilty to that shit as well. And beeing on a commercial does give people ideas. dwane@chello.se --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
