This is what joy is made of - I've spent the afternoon recording
tracks off vinyl through a pre-amp into the computer as .wav files
and burning them down to CD-R. For anybody wanting to do this,
I'm happy with the results using the "normalise" function in Sound
Forge - and also their EQ works well to boost the bass on thin
sounding recordings from the 80's.
There'll be some retro surprises coming up in my sets ... Substar's
revenge! I'm so pleased to have found this excellently dreadful
cheezy electro track from way back in '81 : Landscape's "Einstein
A Go-Go". Anybody remember this?
Actually, does anybody have any leads on where to find Grooving
With Mr Bloe, which if I remember correctly, was by one "Mr Bloe"
who sank without trace thereafter.
I'm rambling ... it's been a long hot Saturday after a long hot
heatwave - boiled brains.
