I just listened to Sche001 - by Metic after hearing mostly everything else in
thecatalogue,
A real gem in my humble opinion. If you like the Soul Oddity sound, you know who
you are, this will give you insight into the engeneering talent (Metic=Paul
Lloyd) who backs the sound of Schematic. "Sixto Novation" is all good in its own
way, but this is much mellower, and profoundly moving at times.
Just about every electronic label in Florida that has gotten stale and continued
to pretentiously pump out high-camp non-sense. On the contrary, Schematic records
artists continue to work thier funk in new ways, and although thier recent
releases seem misunderstood on this list, dont dismiss until you've heard all the
have to offer past, present, and future.
