Thanks for the kind words Matt (and Lance) .. really does make it worthwhile getting such feedback ! One thing though , it is actually 'Isolated Rhythm Chock' as opposed to 'Clock' :) cheers, Tim. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i have to chime in; although thug's cd didn't really grab me, it is enjoyable, & it has even become an office hit! (& i'm never touching the cd player, i just brought the cd) other things often played at the office: ~ velocette 'sonorities by starlight' ~ atom heart 'real intelligence' ~ solvent, s/t ~ autechre, 'incunabula' idm does make work a better place, i must say. but i do find it a bit boring at home sometimes. ~ david --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Unless your office has turntables you'll be hard pressed to hear the next Thug release in your office... yes a 12" containing some of those warm amazing sounds coming out of Tim's head is scheduled for release in March next year. It'll definitely contain an original and/or a reworked version of Blat (some in player's hearing this track as an mp3 commented thinking it was new Plaid!) and 456Kidney (yep, a very cool laid-back d'n'b remix of 123Heart. Remixed by Thug himself) and a few new and melodic tracks as well. Out on the only Australian Label bringing you this music from the Land DownUnder!! For those of you vinyl-ly challenged 456Kidney is appearing on an Australian Amnesty International benefit compilation CD, containing some other fine Aussie electronic music. Contact me for further details on how to acquire the compilation if you are so interested. Is referring to something as the new Plaid a compliment or an insult? Maybe if you compare it to the old Plaid, say the Mbuki 12" or the Clear 12", then we're talking. Well i'm not going to go there, but you mis-read what I wrote (or more accurately what I intended to say). Which was on hearing the track in question they thought it was a new Plaid track harking back to the days of old. A mate of mine who owns a studio that I had to use to burn a copy of Blat for an Aussie dance music Sampler summed up the sound of this track as... "Wow, Tim's really got that old Black Dog FM synth sound happening on that track". To me it just sounds like another one of Tim's EXCELLENT tracks. You can download it as a high-quality mp3 from the AI website for your listening pleasure.
