Maybe a new thread for the board... Anyone know of any IDM artists' sampling habits or sources that may be different from the norm? EG- Boards Of Canada's 'Aquarius' samples from the musical 'Hair' - a track also called 'Aquarius'... Don't want to hear any Funky Drummer type examples just stuff that makes you go "Well i'll be!!!" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Thousands of Stores. meat beat manifesto sampled Yusef Lateef's "Sister Mamie" for a track on _Subliminal Sandwich_(well, not so much sampled as took the guts from and used it in identical form to create a new song), of course, tracking down MBM samples could employ 1000 monkeys banging on 1000 typewriters for 1000 years, or some nonsense like that. On a different note, I'm not liking the new Solvent release at all. I must be missing the nostalgic feeling. But I do like the Vendor Refill (Stable) album on Nature. Mmm ... gongs. And, technically, it was Amorphous Androgynous who sampled the predator. ___________________________________________________________________ Why pay more to get Web access?
