The recent mention of repeat reminded me to bring this up:
There is another repeat. The members are Toshimaru Nakamura and Jason
Kahn. I recently picked up their latest released which is titled
Temporary Contemporary. I would say thier music is based more on texture
than traditional IDM stylings. Imagine if Various Artists did an ambient
album. There is percussion but it is subtle. They create a sense of
movement via repetition that is combined with slow evolvement of sound.
Nakamura's role in the group is the mixing board and electronics. Kahn's
involvmenet is acoustic drums, metals, electronics, and sampling. An
interesting side note is that the whole thing was mastered by Stefan
Bettke (Pole). Some people may know Nakamura from his<?> involvement with
Sachkio M (among others).
