i've been really listening to klunko lately. i am into what he's doing (without humoring him). a review was posted very recently on klunko that i would like to elaborate on. i dont have it to post (i know you guys hate that, but i've deleted it and i really dont think it matters), nonetheless: the review made the possible assumption that klunko is just starting out. i can certainly hear this, but it is not at all a negative observation. the first bunch of tracks is usually a bit incoherent, but you certainly have the birth of something new and unheard at hand. when i first heard it, i thought it sounded a bit like cylob's lobster tracks with an experimental twist. i really like 'wires in the sun'.. i think that's the finishing product in the first stages of klunko's development. i love the atari-esque percussion. perhaps you do a bit of cut-and-paste? that's a huge part of my music also. i think that the "idea" of this song is made clear. i understand 'wires in the sun'. it's a very barren, fragmented, an inorganic mood. i look forward to hearing a fuller, more detailed and compositonal piece from klunko; using the same sort of sound and direction as these tracks. so how bout that remix project! im working on a 'wires in the sun remix now'. you did say that was okay right? =phluidbox --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

im starting to understand your sound more and more. 'bigthings' is really good. i overlooked how compositionally masterful it was. it's very childlike and playful. "threadbare navy blue" is right on the last two sentences also. funny how no review can really do it for any of us. your music is great. it'll be on my playlist a bunch. did i mention i started (without your permission) a remix of 'wires in the sun'? figured you wouldnt mind. take care. -joe ps - 'fuzzbump' is on now. i love it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

No musical disrespect intended to anyone, but could you kindly SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY? Hell, I downloaded the Klunko MP3s weeks ago and never got around to listening to them, I half avoid them because of all this bullshit so I won't come to it with pre-conceived notions. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I have two words for all you guys (and gals): Chill out! I can't believe how worked up you guys are getting about this thread. By the way, the Jochem Paap or Bochum Welt threads have been going on for quite a while now and I don't see any one carrying on about them. Some threads just go on... That's life on the net. Get over it. -=GB=- P.S. If you want this tread to end, don't reply this message... ; ) Matt Wright wrote:

I think the reason that people are so nuts over this is due to the utterly (apologies to klunko) stupid sound of the word "Klunko"... Is it IDM or a bloody second-rate kiddie-bday-party clown...?? let me put it this way, my project's name doesn't bring any "kiddie clown" pictures to mind... Krusty anyone??????? sorry, i'll try to be more IDM. after all we wouldn't want to have a name that suggest we aren't mysterious and incredibly intelligent. that would be different. and IDM is not about that. maybe i just wet off a bit there. i'm over it now. klunko/matt mp3.com/klunko
