by the way, no one can send you a virus through the internet if you act
with a minimum of prudence. first, by not using microsoft outlook.
second, by not running attached executable files or office documents in
emails when they look suspicious (for example, if they don't seem to
have anything to do with the message to which they are attached, or if
they're called happy99.exe.) in other occasions, only accept files &
office documents from people & companies you trust. it's really just
common sense.
but there might be some other aol-related security holes which i'm not
aware of. which would be yet another reason not to use this network
provider.
i know this is considerably unthislisty, but i felt like being nice to a
newbie today.
