dear IDM list readers- i (and xmutex) would like all of you to know that i am terribly sorry for being a TOTAL prick last night. it was my first evening on this incredibly gut-wrenching and intense mailing list and i was unfamiliar with your eticate. i meant nothing personal by any "fuck yous" or "you-have-bad-taste-in-musics". (well i did, but i wish to recall them) i acted indecently and i am well aware of it. xmutex, if you are threatening to send me a virus or whatever "reprecussions" for a harmless playful "fuck you" in response and defense of a direct insult from you, then i am sorry for the people that know you. however, if you really are emotionally attached to the IDM list and its "sacred, hallowed ground, then i am sorry i hurt your feelings. please, let this be the settlement and i beg you not to send me a virus or tamper with my computer. i dont have anything going for me outside music and i really cannot afford it. sincerely, joseph fitzpatrick --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

by the way, no one can send you a virus through the internet if you act with a minimum of prudence. first, by not using microsoft outlook. second, by not running attached executable files or office documents in emails when they look suspicious (for example, if they don't seem to have anything to do with the message to which they are attached, or if they're called happy99.exe.) in other occasions, only accept files & office documents from people & companies you trust. it's really just common sense. but there might be some other aol-related security holes which i'm not aware of. which would be yet another reason not to use this network provider. i know this is considerably unthislisty, but i felt like being nice to a newbie today. ~ david --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
