hi. i think i have found a new sub-genre of idm i like. (well, not really a sub genre.. but we can all pretend and make up our own damn it!). its this nice jazzy/percussion/tribal sound that i have found on the latest freeform ("green park") and eardrum (last light) releases. nice, chill, tripped out, and damn damn groovy. any other things i might want to check out? or is my now claimed sub genre just too specific? (does this mean i need to make up a name? "zidm" :) chris music for lunchpails . wednesdays 6-9pm . kuci 88.9fm . www.kuci.org "im livin' instead of forgivin'.. from now on i'm drivin' alone" - b.wills it.s ok to like noise it.s okay to like house it.s okay to like pop --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

the latest (i believe) sack & blumm CD i've only heard it once (i don't actually own it)but i'd say it was at least as good, if not better than the new freeform. another 'acoustic instruments that will put you in a trance' type of album, and my friend who has it (and good taste) says it's the bomb. -- On Mon, 6 Dec 1999 17:28:06 zimbette wrote:

The Sack & Blumm is a little less chaotic than the Freeform or Eardrum but still excellent. So I second the recommendation of the Sack & Blumm cd on the Tom label. Great stuff. You can hear RA samples of the entire Sack & Blumm album (as well as all other Tom label releases) for yourself on the Tom label website at: www.tomlab.de under the releases menu in the over.info.kill tab. You may also want to thow To Rococo Rot into the hypnotic accoustic-electronic category as well. Check their Amateur View or Veiculo cds. Get a taste of the To Rococo Rot sound via RA at: www.cdnow.com and search for To Rococo Rot under the Artist search option. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
