...if you get a hankering for something completely (well, not completely...you do find synth songs on occasion) different but brilliant indeed, try the new Magnetic Fields' box set "69 Love Songs". This is Merritt's best work (imo) since the now hard to find "Holiday" (a low-fi synthpop MASTERPIECE which is essential). Great lyrics. The 3xcd box comes with a blow by blow interview in which you get some grasp of the breadth of Stephin's wit and scope of his muscial background. Excellent stuff.
