Since it can be said that some of his releases where fair at best, Can anyone provide recommendations for good non-droney, Namlook, good stuff w/beats that progress. I like some of the "From Within" stuff I've heard... And then again some of his more beatless ambient deep and harmonic stuff is pretty good to. Coldcut says that "Pulsar" is a must have - quoting them: "essential cozmic wash, sound of creation of the universe" So what are some others that are the cream of the crop?? -phred

Some current Namlook cds(sometimes with other musicans) with beats? it depends on how far back you want to go! I suggest you get: 1. DSOM(Dark Side Of The Moog)#7- its incredible! it has beats, great synth(cinematic styles), and ambient! 2. DSOM #5- Another CD with UNBELIEVABLE Analogue synth sounds! also with nice beats! 3. S.H.A.D.O #'s 1 an 2. Great electro space music with beats! higer intellence agency and Namlook. 4. 4Voice # 2- Another good release with some great sounding analogue synths(Oberiehm 4Voice what else!) almost all songs have beats... Namlook has released a new cd this month and it will be very good. Its called: Free Your Mind.. There are a lot more of his cds(collaborations) that are good. Just don't feel like listing all of them.. My favourite Namlook albums are both ''S.H.A.D.O" CDs (colloborations with Higher Intelligence Agency). Very beautiful, melodic and IDM-friendly at the same time ;) Two FAX compilations released by Instinct in US are a good introduction to FAX ambient sound, if you like Namlook's melodic and harmonic side, you shoud check them out.
