Re: www.parcmutzle.com Just received an interesting cd-ep from a certain idm-list member Emmett (1/2 of Parc Mutzle). First i'd like to briefly introduce the website (above), as the attention to detail and the constructive design of the site are worth a visit. Sound-bytes are available, a contact location, and smooth visuals makes for easy navigation. (the website is "is quite far from being finished" according to Emmett) The cd i hold here in my hands runs through dark experimental electronics and incorporates a lively, almost classical/middle-eastern sound in its grooves. While these three tracks go against the grain compared to your common electronic outfit, "Come See Come Saw" molds ambience with thick sheets of intricate programming. The cd-case reminds me of Octopus Inc.'s latest release on K5, "Mere Things and Mindless Creatures". Black text on clear sleeve, and the design on the cover works in unison with the disc. Parc Mutzle's music on this ep contains a genuine workout of atmospheric electronics, abstract rhythms, and even a few spoken words which can be faintly heard deep inside these tracks. Emmett can be contacted at the following email address for more details: emmett9@home.com. Rather than explain the music, check the website for Real Audio clips, as this self-released cd deserves some attention. [tracklisting] = 24 minutes: "first" / "second (live in CA)" / "third" Pietro. ___________________________________________ p i e t r o d a s a c c o a u d i o - n i m b u s 9745 lynngrove cr, windsor, ontario, n8r 1b8, canada http://www.rain.org/~audio/grooves/ grooves experimental electronics music mag --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Yes, I got this one the other day as well and have been giving it some heavy listening. nice dark melodic electronic reminding me of a mix of maybe coil and funkstorung or maybe autechre and scorn. One of the nicest things about this release is the price. Parcmutzle, like fellow listmember Kumquat, is basically giving these finished cds (no cdrs) away for the cost of shipping. For details on this deal check: http://www.parcmutzle.com/things/index.html And, as pietro suggested, check the website to listen to the RA files for a quicker way to hear if the sound of Parcmutzle is for you. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Let me uneloquently agree that this is good stuff! High quality, well produced ambient tracks with beats in the right places. You owe it to yourself to at least visit the site and check out the .RA snippets. http://www.parcmutzle.com The CD is actually free but I would have payed full ep price if I had to - great work Emmett & co! Talent is alive and well on the IDM list! ernie Ernesto Ikerd, (817) 763-4795 Company Graphics, Dept 17, MZ-1156 Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft Systems Fort Worth, Texas --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
