Rapaccioli EP 1 (Vertical Forms 001) On the UK Vertical Forms label, this is pure minimalistic techno at its finest. Subtle tonalities are manipulated into powerful abstract, yet ultra-smooth textural sounds. Excellent production, at the same time retaining experimental integrity. Destined to be a collector's artifact. Anyone to second? Yeah, I second this... Went down to Atlas records on Saturday and spoke to the guy running the label, grabbed the new promo which is a lot harder edged than EP1, but still has that dub texture. Going to be a strong label next year I reckon... On another note, also noticed that the Arovane web site is up and running at http://www.arovane.de.

I was going to post about this ep several weeks ago. I'm glad others brought it up, because it's a really good 12". Definitely worth checking out. I also picked up a Jamie Bissmire on Ground. Thought it was pretty cool minimal techno. I haven't found too many techno records that interest me, in the last few months. There's quite a bit of quality drum n bass coming out! Total Science [C.I.A. Recordings] and Stakka & Skynet [Underfire Recordings] are the guys to watch! --- "dan@madvision" <idm@madvision.co.uk> wrote:
