Just thought you would all like to know - Queen Latifah has named her DJ
of the year. Roc Raida beats out Mista SInista by a point. Or should I
say "Rock Raida" as she spelled his name. I'll be certain not to miss
next week's showdown between Raida and, of course, last year's winner of
the Queen Latifah DJ of the Year, DJ Craze. Not iDM, but almost as
funny. They had a "spectacular" showdown where each performed for about
14 seconds. The jiggly dancers behind them showed their silicone skills
even longer.
On a more listish note, what's up with this revival of electro? More and
more of what I'm hearing put out strikes me as possessing more
electro-vibes than crunchy beat quotient ... I'm not convinced this is a
good thing. Techno ... Electro?
