I'm not too sure about M-Tec's "sounds", but Novel23's upcoming 'Melodies of Childhood for Advanced Imagination' includes some of the finest digitally- mind bending melodies i've heard in a long time. Combine that with an assortment of crispy beats, and this full-length is a thriving musical entity that i'm sure will satisfy your idm cravings. I'm having a hard time pulling this one out of the player! Oh.. and whoever pointed out the fact that idm seems to be lacking the basslines, you're right on target with that analysis. [i'm still catching up on digests] Pietro. ___________________________________________ p i e t r o d a s a c c o a u d i o - n i m b u s 9745 lynngrove cr, windsor, ontario, n8r 1b8, canada http://www.rain.org/~audio/grooves/ grooves experimental electronics music mag --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

apologies if this has been covered... do all the cds have 17 tracks or just the nothing records promos? mmm. i like it. eat it up. it would be a shame if they dont all have the extra 4, as # 16 (schism track #2 mix) is one of the best... (possible origin of selection 16???) -Brandon -- ___________________________________________________ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |The voyeur of utter destruction, as beauty | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

the nothing promo i have has thirteen tracks listed on the back, and a sticker on the front, as follows: back: 1. The 'Eye 2. Square Rave 3. Time Borb 4. Dedicated Loop 5. Tomorrow World 6. Cool Veil 7. Schizm Track #1 8. Freeway 9. Snake Pass 10. Yo 11. Mind Rubbers 12. Tesko 13. Acid Tape Track sticker on front "Includes 4 Bonus Mixes: 1. 8 Bit Mix #1 2. 8 Bit Mix #2 3. Schism Track #2 Mix 4. Ceephax Mix (remixed by Andy Jenkinson) my assumption is that 1-4 on the sticker are 14-17 on the cd, this is backed by the fact that the two 8 bit mixes are rather similar (and lame). The last two are quite good though, possibly the best tracks on the cd. all the untitled songs are missing on my release, so i suppose its possible that the "8 bit" songs are the untitleds (theyre not really songs nor are they really worthy of names...) but that leaves two untitled songs that arent on my release, and i doubt the other two tracks on my cd would go by untitled. interesting. -Brandon
