well seeing that you needed a list to "confront" me with all this even thou you go to ucsd now right? 5 mins away from me hmm... anyways i suppose i will stay on your terms and say that i honestly dont think anyone on this list cares about me or what you think of me. that is all. Oh wait, let me guess, you've been down with IDM for "hmmm, since about 92-93. They played it at my dance studio." Hmm, well let me just inform you that unless you are male and have facial hair, there are practically no "scene points" to be had with IDM. "But I'm not about scene points! I'm not trying to be cool and down with stuff!" *COUGH COUGH* Absolute bullshit. You namedrop to no end, always try to act "in the know" with everything concerning every underground scene, and then try to throw events or start record labels or do whatever you think will make you a star within the scene. Look, the IDM scene does NOT need this type of bullshit. I wouldn't be surprised with after "Happy" having an IDM room that you added one to "Urban Decay". So why am I so concerned with you being on the list? Because you ruined shit for the last scene you came into and, well, basically raped. It wasn't enough for you to simply be ! > a fan, you had to throw a party with no knowledge of how to properly do one, did it pretty much all by yourself, and made tons of promises. All were broken. When you failed twice, it made the hardcore scene look really really fucking pathetic. It also made the scene look really pathetic because you changed your outlook for some reason. To quote your website, your view on the party was to "keep the scene underground". But when I talked to you personally after expanding the party from 2 rooms to 4 rooms, and other genres such as house (yeah, one dj...one dj alone still looks bad, because it just shows that you not only were trying to cater to everyone in the scene, it also showed you didn't really have a spine and just said yes to anyone who offered to spin, regardless of genre or talent), your quote was "it never was underground". Well, you are a hypocrite. A liar. Not someone to be trusted. I could write an even longer post and bring up more and more incidents in whic! > h you deceived people, but that could take forever. Now I know you're just going to play dumb and act like you don't do any of this, or put your oh so favorite line "why didn't you talk to me first?". Well, here's my response to that. First, I've tried talking to you before, and you ALWAYS act like you don't know what I'm talking about and that you're not going against things you previously said, and then make excuses like you meant something else. I'm sick of that, I don't really have a desire to talk to you anymore. Second, I haven't seen you on Instant Messenger for like a month, and MIRC doesn't work for me, so no way to contact you quickly there. And email takes too long to respond to, so no, I didn't talk to you about this first. And I don't care. This message serves several purposes. One, it is a direct message to you to stop dabbling in shit, or, for lack of a better word, stop being a poser. Just because the music or culture in question is far far removed fr! > om the mainstream, does not mean that you can't be a dilletante and pretend that you're all about it. This is also a message to those on the list NOT to support your flakey bullshit requests, if any are made. I was willing to support you at one time, even up to a week ago, but your consistently flippant, naive, and very stubborn towards me, as well as others, is more than I can stand now. I thought this list would be an escape from your bullshit, apparently nothing is sacred. Lastly, this message is a way to relieve not only my aggression, but that of others, both on this list and not, who are severely displeased with the way you handle yourself, but don't have the guts (or the time, maybe they just stopped bothering to talk to you directly for the same reason I did) to say it to your face. Well, I do. Take your lame shit elsewhere, but at least keep it to a minimum if you REALLY NEED to be on this list, which I don't believe you do, because I don't see this scene offeri! > ng anything for you to further yourself with, except maybe opening your mind, but I think you're more into looking cool, not being open minded. And if you're thinking about questioning my open mindedness towards you, I'll just say again that I tried, but you just ruined it too many times. And if any of you guys object to the length of this post...c'mon, you practically write essays about toast and post it on here. Wow. Damn. I now publically state it's okay for the entire IDM list to ignore me if they want to, so long as I never inspire such antipathy in someone else. Of course I'm following this with a promo post... --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

You know, I'll admit I didnt have time to read this whole post, but I have to agree that this one part here is spot on... You all really *must* stop dabbling in shit, I mean - thats gross, so stop it. ....Ok, I did read it, and I have to say you Left-Coasters must have it pretty sweet if your parties are so rad that if someone drops the ball and comes up with a less than perfect gig that they need a blasting like this! Man, in Ft Worth, its almost bad enough that you could set up a fisher-price plastic record player with home stereo speakers in the driveway serving kool-aid and the people would just be happy if there were a photo of a mirror ball stapled up in the garage! You wouldnt get reamed for having just ONE DJ!, youd get props for having a guy standing by swappin' records when the last one stopped - and playing no Country/Western or Macarena!!! tall tales ernie, yee-haa PS- Caught the Stereolab show in big D - TRES BIEN! C'EST MAGNIFIQUE! that was a great show, and they were kind enough to play so loud you could hear it again on the drive home - is that the phone ringing? no? wait, is that it now? no? my pager ? no....
