Yeh the Scots. They are free from the chains of back stabbing and genre bashing that goes on in London, everyone is so uptight there, continually watching what other people are doing. Scotland doesn't have that attitude, to my eyes, and comes out with pretty fresh stuff: BoC, Scandinavia, Sativa, Stephen Brown, Club 69, Pure, Phase 6, Arab Strap etc etc etc. Having said that, it could be the attitude of the South of England, anywhere north seems to be a lot better than London, like Manchester and Sheffield. ----- Original Message ----- From: Johan LOONES <johan.loones@skynet.be> To: <idm@hyperreal.org>; marsel <marsel@sonik.demon.nl> Sent: Tuesday, November 16, 1999 10:46 PM Subject: Re: (idm) idm London

Obviously you've never been into the free party scene much. Mind you drum and bass is far better than trance, there's too much of that around there. You can still hear some pretty amazing industrial techno around though, and the venues are highly appropriate like huge warehouses up in Hackney Wick Ross. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
