Just noticed something that you all might be interested in. Bent Crayon has just put an mp3 of the Live V/vm show from earlier this month at Speak in Tongues on their website. You can grab it for yourself at: http://www.bentcrayon.com btw: PC users may want to hold down their shift key when selecting the file to download. that will allow you download the mp3 file and not the text equivalent of it. I dont know what to tell the mac users though. sorry. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

for mac users, just hold the option key down when you click on the link. that should give you the ability to download the file. the only mp3 player for mac i've found is macast (formerly macamp, sim to winamp) but it requires registration to hear more than 2 min. any others out there for mac that are FREE still??? thanks matt p.s. definitely download this if you've not heard it... crazy stuff. too bad you don't get the full effect of the pig costume....oink! --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

MPecker used to be pretty good, and it was free....not too sure if it still is though (something having to do with the MP3 technology being patented)....but here's a good source for mac MP3 files and news: http://home.earthlink.net/~kdegraaf/ -paul --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Another freeware player for mac is SoundApp http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~franke/SoundApp/ hint: for other options, go to www.versiontracker.com and search for mp3.

yes. it's a little tricky though. you'll have to piece it together yourself. It'll be slow, but it creates better quality mp3s than a lot of the shareware encoders. first, go here and get mp3 encoder 0.12 http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/~d2linjo/mp3/ then go here for a free Macromedia encoding engine: http://www.macromedia.com/support/soundedit/how/shock/ download the link that says "version f1 Download Now!" once you decompress (using stuffit expander) you'll see: "SoundEdit16 SWA Updates" folder. open the "SoundEdit 16 SWA Xtras Folder" within there. Take the file that's called "SWA Export Xtra" and throw it in the same folder as "mp3 encoder 0.12" Run the encoder once to change your settings to your preference, then quit. Then drag n' drop all the AIFF's you please onto the encoder icon. take a long walk :) voila!
