wait... you mean long, preposition-filled phrases (Godspeed You Black Emperor, His Hero Is Gone, Her Space Holiday, "As we quietly burn a hole into...", A Minor Forest ) etc? i'm fascinated by the linguistics of emo titles. there seems to be an unwritten rule behind most of them, but i can't identify it. but the thing is, when you hear an emo title or name, you know it's emo immediately. same w/ the old SxE hardcore bands... they were in love with compound words (breakdown, warzone, etc.) -- which i always found particularly, amusingly, germanic and fascistic. :) Philip Sherburne Senior Editor, Technology 510-985-7885 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Actually Ryan from Love Spirals Downwards has been going in a more jungle hybrid sort of direction. He seems to be interested in doing some straight up jungle in the Good Looking vein. ___________ KUCI 88.9Fm (Irvine, CA) is one of the nations most progressive music broadcasters, with programming that ranges from IDM, world, hip hop, jazz, and much more You can keep KUCI going strong through your tax deductible donation.
