oh! oh! i can.. im actually debating writing a paper on this very
subject considering i talk about it so much [in real life]..
short form.. think about how boards of canada sound now..
then imagine its the later 80s/90s nineties..
then imagine the same kind of production values applied to a rock band..
then add the most sensuous, without being sleazy, lyrics / scenerios
you could imagine... sung by a quiet, demeur, whispy sounding woman [or,
alternately, kevin sheilds]
or an analogy..
boc is to childhood as mbv is to sex/modern romantisism,
for me anyway.
and, if you listen to mbv, thats what a guitar sounds like when its
swirling.
but now kevin sheilds just pisses fans off with one mediocre remix after
the next.
