Nice to see another Rachel's listener out there. I picked up "Selenography" after reading an interview with them in Sleazenation. I loved it and will definitely try and grab some of their other material. To the uninitiated, Rachel's are a group that I can only describe as "alternative classical". Mostly traditional instruments, mainly string, but synths, drum machines and samplers are used to subtle effect. Their style varies from track to track, so you get relatively traditional-sounding tracks sitting alongside some more bizarre sonic experiments. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you like some of the "acoustic techno" stuff on Fat Cat, or Autechre's subtler moments.

Definitely my favourite Sun Electric album. -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
