James from v/vm asked me to post that the V/vm Pittsburg show for tonight has been cancelled. Please do not make the drive because V/vm isnt even in town. But the V/vm show in Cleveland tomorrow night is definitely on. It promises to be a really big show too. I have a really cool v/vm flier saved in pdf format. I'll email it to anybody who whats one. Let me know in private if you do. Anyways, hope to see you all at the cleveland V/vm show. I'll be the guy with the tie. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

...and bring your earplugs, unless you want the gift that keeps on giving -- tinnitus. Seriously, the Chicago show was a boatload of fun, but it beat every other concert I've ever heard for pure drum-shredding terror, and that includes the KK Null show where my *earlobes* actually started vibrating and my stomach did that queasy low-frequency rumba. Kudos to James though, especially considering his stated goal is to annoy each and every audience-member that steps into the venue -- there were a few "bar regulars" there with these indescribable looks of terror at certain points of the show (I can't believe they stayed). Anyway, stay tuned for the Aube remix soundclash featuring v/vm, Kid-606, and many other special guests, coming in the new year from Elsie & Jack Recordings... Also, get a free E&J compilation including a track from my band, Monera, with the purchase of Chris Jeely's new September Plateau album (or any other disc) at http://www.elsieandjack.com/. Shameful plugs, I know... .John. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i second that. i had earplugs and my fingers over that. i was amazed that they were not ringing when i went to bed. interesting show to say the least. if you arent near any of the cities that james is playing, try the following- find a bad popular 80's tune create some wav files that look 'solid' on your computer screen. this can be done by recording pretty much any song and then there is some simple tweak (the basic wave recorder software that comes with creative labs cards will work fine) that will amplify it greatly until its a wall of noise. it will look like like a large, solid line- no peaks or valleys. play the wav + the song at the same time at insane volume. --- clietz@enteract.com On Thu, 4 Nov 1999 15:47:54 John Bush wrote:
