I was checking the Sonic Groove site, and they seemed to have a lot of really good old records that were actually in stock. Of course, I got suspicious, and my suspicions have since mounted as they don't seem eager to tell me what they actually have until I send them money. Anybody ordered from these guys before? Is this another deal much like those guys on GEMM who have to order stuff that may be in stock somewhere else? Blech. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them before. Some of the rarities turn up, others don't. Either way I get a package in two weeks, and if the rarity isn't in the package, I don't get charged for it. :) That's always a good thing. Sonic Groove is notorious for enticing people with their website stock. They finally put up a disclaimer saying that what they have listed on the website might not be in stock...but that doesn't really do much, does it? I have ordered from them in the past and haven't had any problems, BUT I do know people who have...just keep in mind that they are usually extremely busy (prolly the best techno store besides hardwax in germany) and sometimes fumble people's orders due to volume. And yes, they probably attempt to cull their resources if you have a want and they don't have it in stock. I don't, however, view this as a bad thing, but, if you're a person like Frankie Bones, you prolly have access to a good number of records (or people that have the records). Oh, and another thing, I'd be curious to see what you're ordering...SG has a wide variety of records, but they definitely specialize in more dancefloor friendly hard techno, not really idm type music. bc __________________________ Bill Connolly The College of New Jersey Townhouse East 27A Ewing, NJ USA 08628 email: connoll3@tcnj.edu ICQ: 21696266 AOL: connollybill cycle 5:2: www.homestead.com/connolly ___________________________ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

They take a while, but they come through eventually. I believe they move a lot of stock, hence they are reluctant to tell you what's on hand (in terms of what you can expect to be shipped right away). I've bought a few gems from them which I thought I'd never see - but it did take some time. Depends on how long you want to wait and how much demand there is for what you want. jeff AeOtaku@aol.com wrote:
