***yep, it's 8 stark tracks exploring a bass drum welded to some tones. all cuts here are four on the floor, but the majority are super downtempo. first track is 3/4, second is at the exact same tempo but 4/4, third is around half time of the first two, then a couple more at the original tempo, than track 6 varies between 3/4 and 4/4 time (sorta a vogelish thing, but only in time signature), (6 and 7 are slower than the first cut, but faster than the 3rd!), than the last track pumps the tempo up (it's still slow for techno, but much faster than the rest on the release) to a slow minimal techno piece, again a single bd and some tones explored. this will likely get compared to hawtin's consumed, though consumed, minimal as it was, is actually quite a bit *busier* than voigt's release here! ain't a single bit of high end of this, just mids and that big bad bassdrum! andrew duke :) ps track #2 from this on show 593, should be online midweek. -- Cognition/Andrew Duke's In The Mix mailto:cognition@techno.ca http://techno.ca/cognition 1096 Queen St #123 Halifax NS Canada B3H 2R9 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
