(NOTE: unquantified/unqualified shameless gushing follows:) Its been a LOOOOONNG time since a music has chicken-skinned me so intensely , and L'Usine is responsible for much of the drool on my keyboard today. (i guess the rest is just natural seepage) DAMN!! No, I wont elaborate as to whether I like the crunchiness of the beats, the distorted melodies or the trick fx as these elements alone do not a good record make! (and I suck at reviews) One or two more releases this consistent and soon we'll all be name calling and finger pointing about "L'Usine clones" and what the rest of electronic muzak will owe to L'Usine! Ok, NO - Its not 100% earth shatteringly bleeding edge new concepts, but its the good bits of what you've *loved* about music. Q: But which release Ernie? I'm new here, tell me which one to get! A: FOOL! Buy them all, stupid! Dont bother me when I'm jammin to L'Usine! eps/lps/remixes/unreleased trax, whatever - THEY ARE ALL BUTTAH' ernie Ernesto Ikerd, (817) 763-4795 Company Graphics, Dept 17, MZ-4202 Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company Fort Worth, Texas --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

pff! you ain't kiddin', ernie! the new (well, 2/4 new) l'usine "coded" 12" is tippy top notch! and a big fat thanks to isophlux for pressing it at 45rpm. I've got no gripes about them putting 2 tracks from l'usines cd (from last year) on the 12". I think one of l'usine's strong points is the diversity of his tracks, which makes it easy for me to not add to ernie's lack of review =) ...too much for me to try to describe. lovely stuff. em.
