my personal take on the whole "clone" thing goes something like this..
i *really* enjoy Ae's 'Tri Repetae++' and 'Cichlisuite'-era material. i
mean, i love everything from 'Incunabula' to 'ep5' as well, but when i get
all sentimental for Ae i put on 'TR++'. seeing as Ae've moved on to
creating more abstract music, i'm glad there are others who're creating
something similar to the style i like. i don't see how it's bad for an
artist to further explore a sound/style developed by others. considering
there's such an established audience for the Ae "sound", i'd think more
ppl would be happy that they could pick up new material in that style.
