It's umm....OK. Sounds too much like everybody else though. He employed like a ton of MCs, and made tracks that sound too traditional. Don't get me wrong, they are excellent tracks (especially the cuts with CoFlow, Swollen Members, and Blu Rum 13), but it isn't the minimal turntable constructions that made USSR Repetoire such a standout album. Sure, I didn't want a rehash of old stuff, but then again I expected him to keep it different from the rest. So, worthwhile but not groundbreaking by any means. That said, anyone have dates for Vadim's US tour? Should be in late November, but I can't find the dates anywhere. Isolationist is Vadim, DJ Primecuts, and Anti-Pop Consortium. Album available on Jazz Fudge (Vadim's label). Reminiscent of Company Flow, with better production though not quite as fresh.
