eLefant traks are launching DASE, their jamming over the net software this
Saturday (13/5/0) at Club Keeno Newtown RSL, Sydney.
DASE allows musicians to jam over the net in psuedo-realtime. It is loop
based and triggers wav files. It is available for FREE download at
www.singularity.net.au/dase - or at least checkout the screenshots ;)
The launch will see a monster jam of 8 eLefant traks artists swapping
between 4 computers (on a LAN) running DASE. There will be visuals on a huge
near-cinema-size screen.. Plus live sets from the eLefant artists uBin,
Spanky + guest friend of elefants Meem.
There is a DASE mailing list + weekly DASE jams from enthusiasts round the
world. Jammers include folk from US, Canada + some of the ninjatune crew in
London.
eLefant traks is a Sydney label which has had 4 releases over the past 2
years including uBin and the Pilfernators. et also distributes other labels
in Sydney including Quark Kent + Thug.
