Anyone recommend an audio-controlled home laser light show for a mini-party full of people eager for exciting eye-candy? I really dont need anything over about $300 , no pro-level TrackSpots or Lightwave Research type light cannons, just something with audio input to make pretty patterns & colors. There used to be a deal about a decade ago called like "Laser FX" that they would sell at Spencer's and I guess thats along the lines of what Im looking for, but I figured we'd have come a long way since then. It doesnt really have to be a laser since more than one color would be nice, but I figured some of you might have a recommendation on how to make my wall or ceiling the coolest thing my enhanced guests have ever seen along with the soundtrack im providing. Ever mess with AcidWarp or Cthugha? AcidWarp is a computerized trip toy that just displays neat morphing colors and patters on the screen. The cool thing about this is that the program comes with instructions on how to make a projector to display the visuals on the screen onto a wall. Then there is Cthugha. It takes audio input from the soundcard on your PC and does a bunch of dancing colors and lines on the screen in time with the music. It has a lot of different options for different effects. The Psychedelic screensaver for the PC is also a neat program that is similar to Cthugha if you also get the companion audio program (can't think of the name right now, but if you download the screensaver there is usually mention of the audio program with it). Also, I had the mac version of Cthugha and it didn't agree with my comp, though it could be because my computer just is too slow to handle it. pete
